ABOUT GROUP H

MARK HELLMAN has been in the entertainment industry since performing his first concert as a musician & singer back in the late 60's. in upstate New York. After two years of college he moved to San Francisco where he attended the San Francisco Academy of Art, but also continued his career as a musician. He was written up in the San Francisco Chronicle as the best un-signed bass player in the Bay Area and Northern California. His group "Hellman & Groves" was written up as …"A fabulous first rate, all purpose, undated vocal ensemble!" by the San Francisco Examiner. Mark moved behind the desk in 1980 where he began his career as an agent with High Top Productions, followed by a move to Washington DC to work and eventually become a partner in Stage Productions Inc. In 1986 he formed his own companies, Group H Entertainment and Group H Nashville. He guided the careers of many successful award winning artists in the College market where Group H was voted Campus Agency of the Year four times by Campus Activities Today Magazine, and his artists earned over 20 national awards including Campus Entertainer(s) of the Year, as well as Small Theater, Comedy, Lecture, Performing Arts, and Country Entertainers of the Year. At the same time, Mark was one of the original agents who introduced the Tribute Show phenomenon to the entertainment marketplace. He was instrumental in lending credibility to tribute artists as a ticket selling force, and who now are a permanent fixture on the national concert scene as well as on Broadway. Aside from representing his own top of the line artists, who play for audiences around the country and the world, Mark and Group H also provide hands on middle agent services in securing large touring acts for corporate & private events, conferences, fundraisers, and festivals. Some of the entertainers Group H has secured for clients include REO Speedwagon, The Beach Boys, The Doobie Brothers, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, Three Dog Night, Survivor, Marshall Tucker Band, Leo Kotke, Steve Allen & Jayne Meadows, KC and the Sunshine Band, Don Felder of the Eagles, Jefferson Starship, The Amazing Kreskin, Dave Mason, and many more.
